Duran Duran, who have sold more than 100 million records throughout their storied career, will treat guests at Cinema Against AIDS to their only public performance of 2013. Dame Shirley Bassey, fresh off of a show-stopping performance at this year’s 85th Academy Awards, will make a special appearance at Cinema Against AIDS to sing a number of her much loved and celebrated songs.  Ellie Goulding, one of the UK’s most exciting singer-songwriters, will inject her exuberant energy into the evening. His percussion background can also be heard in his scores crafted for such films as The Lincoln Lawyer, Narc, Wicker Park, Wonderland and Drive, for which he received a Broadcast Film Critics Award nomination.

Cliff’s additional achievements include a GRAMMY Award nomination for Traffic, a César Award nomination for A L’origine and also notably, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2012. He recently served as a juror for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and served on the International Feature nominating committee for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Martinez’s recent films include Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep, Nicholas Jarecki’s Arbitrage and Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers (co-composed with Skrillex). WASHINGTON – On Saturday, May 11, 2013, Amtrak will join communities across America to celebrate the importance of trains to their town at the sixth annual National Train Day. More than 200 communities are expected to host events at local train stations, railroad museums and other locations commemorating this year’s theme “trains matter.”

“National Train Day invites communities big and small to share the importance of trains as a vital transportation option and engine of economic development and employment,” said Amtrak Chief Marketing & Sales Officer Matt Hardison.
